Dr Onjung Yang holds a Bachelor’s degree from Dokkyo University and a Master’s degree from Waseda University in Japan. She also earned her PhD from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney.
With over 15 years of experience teaching students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, Dr Yang has developed and delivered targeted lesson plans using research-based approaches. Her work focuses on supporting students to achieve measurable academic outcomes.
Her professional background includes serving as a head teacher at Korean high schools, where she specialised in preparing students for university entrance examinations in Japan. In this role, she designed and led programs covering Japanese culture and history, as well as essay writing, reading and speaking skills.
Fluent in English, Japanese, and Korean, Dr Yang understands the challenges students face when learning a foreign language. Drawing on this insight, she has developed effective approaches to assessment and progress management that maintain clear academic standards tailored to each student’s level.
