Thank you for taking the time to learn about our legal policies.

This is where you’ll find information about how we protect your privacy, what you can and can’t do, and how we handle your engagement with us. If you still have questions after reading our terms and policies, please contact us.

These terms and conditions do not apply to enrolments made via direct bookings for bespoke in-house training. Separate terms and conditions are issued during the direct booking process.

1.     Terms of use

a.    The site at cce.sydney.edu.au ("Site") is a website where you can browse, select and apply to enrol in courses conducted by The University of Sydney (ABN 15 211 513 464) ("we", "us" or "our") at Centre for Continuing Education ("Centre"), and order incidental products and services from us.

b.    The terms and conditions set out in this document ("Terms") govern your access to, and use of, the Site, as well as any application for enrolment, or order of products or services, you lodge through the Site or over the telephone, by email, or by enrolling in person.

c.    If you browse the Site, or proceed with an enrolment application or order to purchase products or services (whether through the Site, via email, by telephone, or in person), you are deemed to have accepted the Terms and agreed to comply at all times, including during your enrolment (if any) with all applicable laws in connection with the use of the Site.

d.    We may vary these Terms, for any reason, at any time and without notice. In relation to use of the Site, your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any amendment to these Terms. In relation to any application for enrolment, order of products or services, the Terms which will apply will be those that were in place at the time the application or order was placed. Any amendment to these Terms will not apply retrospectively.

2.     Applying for a course and ordering a product or service

a.    We invite you to apply to enrol in a course, or order a product or service, by selecting and submitting your application or order through the Site or by telephone, via email, or in person. Any application or order placed through the Site or by telephone, via email, or in person is an offer by you to enrol in a course or purchase a product or service at the relevant price notified on the Site at the time of your application or order, and you acknowledge that the Terms apply to any such offer.

b.    You agree that we may communicate important information about your course to you via the email address provided to us. Please ensure you regularly review your email and update your contact details and account settings to ensure you receive our communications.

c.    With the exception of the HSC preparation courses, applicants under the age of 18 should contact the Centre to discuss their enrolment.

d.    We may ask you to provide additional information to enable us to process your application or order. You agree to provide us with current, complete and accurate details throughout the enrolment or order process.

e.    Our courses run through the Centre are developed and conducted for adults seeking non-award short courses and learning. Please ensure you carefully review the course description on our website before enrolling and contact us if you have any enquiries. If you choose incorrectly or change your mind, our standard terms and conditions apply.

3.     Acceptance, rejection, and withdrawal by us

a.    We may accept or reject an application for a course or order for products or services at any time before we give you notice of acceptance or rejection, and in our  discretion acting reasonably, including if you do not meet prerequisites to participate in a course or to order products or services.

b.    If we accept your application or order, we will provide you with an email confirmation of that acceptance (which may be conditional on you paying any outstanding fees for the course, products or services prior in accordance with these terms) and a binding agreement between you and us shall come into existence when we provide such confirmation. For each application or order we accept, we agree to enrol you in the relevant course or supply the relevant product or service to you, in accordance with the Terms.

c.    We may, acting reasonably, reject your application or order for any reason, including if a course is already full or a product or service is not currently available. If we reject an application or order, we will notify you of that rejection within a reasonable time after you submit your application or order. If we have already received your payment, we will return, or refund in full, your payment promptly after our rejection notification.

4.     Not a University of Sydney student

You will not be a University of Sydney student as a result of purchasing, enrolling or participating in a Centre for Continuing Education course or product. Among other things, this means:

              i.    You will not be supplied with a University of Sydney email address for communications with the University of Sydney; and

             ii.    You will not be entitled to access any benefits provided to University of Sydney students.

5.     Technical access and support

a.    In order to participate in the Centre’s self-paced courses, online classes or courses in which you are required to use or bring your own device, you will need to ensure you have compatible hardware, software and/or Apps. Software required for each course is listed in the course outline. There may be instances where you will be instructed to use a program which may have various technical requirements. However, it is recommended that your device have the following minimum requirements:

              i.    inbuilt microphone and camera, or capacity to plug in a mic and camera; and

             ii.    latest version of an internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge)

b.    Please note that you may be required to adjust your pop-up blocker settings to permit content, if you have one installed.

You must ensure you have access to a personal computer and that it is set-up to support the system and internet bandwidth requirements for the programs specified for use in the particular course for which you are enrolled in.

c.    If you are unable to access any course materials, we will use reasonable endeavours to provide a solution where we have direct control over the system, software or settings involved. If the issue lies with your hardware, systems, software or settings, you will need to resolve these issues so that you can participate in the course.

d.    We will use reasonable endeavours to make the course available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, timely or error free availability or that defects will be corrected. We reserve the right to suspend access to the eLearning system for the purpose of scheduled or emergency maintenance, repairs or upgrades to improve the performance or functionality of the eLearning system.

e.    You acknowledge and accept that the University cannot be held responsible for any delay or disruptions to your access to the course materials as a result of such suspension or any of the following:

              i.    the operation of the internet and the world wide web;

             ii.    any firewall restrictions that have been placed on your network or the computer you are using to access the course;

            iii.    failures of telecommunications links and equipment; or

            iv.    updated browser issues.

6.     Issuance of a Statement of Completion

a.    The Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Sydney runs short, non-award courses with no accreditation or prerequisite qualifications for University of Sydney degrees or enrolment purposes attached — no exams are held at the end of the training to provide any form of certification.

b.    Course participants are entitled to receive (via email only) a Statement of Completion after the course once they have attended the class and completed at least 70% of the training.

7.     Payment

a.    We accept the following payment methods in respect of courses, products and services:

          -         MasterCard

          -         Visa

          -         American Express (for online enrolments only)

          -         EFTPOS

          -         Electronic bank transfer (by prior agreement only)

          -         Internal Journal Transfers (for University of Sydney staff only)

b.    For payments by MasterCard, Visa, or EFTPOS, you authorise us to debit the amount that is payable for your application or order from your nominated card account.

c.    If we are unable to successfully process your card payment or receive payment by electronic bank transfer, then we may cancel your order or application and we will notify you.

d.    You must not pay, or attempt to pay, for courses, products or services through any fraudulent or unlawful means.

e.    We will provide you with a receipt promptly after we receive your application or order which specifies the total fees and charges for the courses, products and services.

7.1  Company invoicing and enrolments

a.    If your employer or other third party pays your fees on your behalf via company invoice, you are still bound by these Terms and Conditions. The advantage of enrolling via a company invoice are more payment options such as EFT or credit card and an extended payment period.

b.    Please be aware that payment is required in full before attendance at your course. If your invoice is outstanding within seven (7) days of your course commencement date, and we have not received remittance advice or proof of payment, we reserve the right to cancel your enrolment. You will receive cancellation advice via email.

7.2  Fees and charges

a.    We will charge you, and you agree to pay, the purchase price of the course you apply for, or product or service you order, as advertised on the Site at the time of your application or order, and any other fees and charges set out in these Terms.

b.    All fees and charges identified in these Terms and all prices for the courses, products and services include GST where applicable.

c.    We may vary prices for courses, products and services from time to time without notice. Subject to these Terms, we will not increase the amount payable by you for the relevant courses, products, or services once we have accepted your application or order. A transfer to a later class date constitutes a new application or order and may incur additional fees.

8.     Refunds, cancellations and transfers

8.1 Cancellation of enrolment or order by you

No refund will be issued if you cancel or re-schedule your enrolment more than 24 hours after your purchase, irrespective of whether your enrolment(s) are to be paid via company invoice. If you cancel your enrolment or order within 24 hours of your purchase, we will refund the fees in full, with the following exceptions:

a.    if you enrol in a course that starts within seven (7) days from the course purchase date, or it has already commenced, a refund will not be granted in any circumstance, and you will not be eligible to withdraw from this course or to claim a credit voucher for the course cost;

b.    if you enrol in a self-paced course, a refund will not be granted in any circumstance, and you will not be eligible to withdraw from this course or to claim a credit voucher for the course cost;

c.    enrol in a Bridging course (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics) delivered by the Faculty of Science and cancel your enrolment or order within 48 hours of your purchase, we will refund the fees in full.

Please note, we do not provide refunds:

a.    or support if you are unable to use our enterprise software on your device. It is your responsibility to check this before enrolling;

b.    if you find a course too easy or too difficult after attending. Please contact us before your course to confirm its suitability; and

c.    in instances where you have misunderstood the delivery format and wish to withdraw from a course. Our standard cancellation policy applies.

8.2  Cancellation and transfer of enrolment or order requested by you

a.    We require 7 days (excluding public holidays) notice before a class start date to cancel or reschedule your course enrolment.

b.    If you request to cancel your enrolment and have provided sufficient notice, the registered payer of your enrolment will receive a credit voucher to the value of the amount paid for your course. If your enrolment was processed via company invoice, a credit voucher will only be issued upon receipt of payment for your course.

c.    If you request to reschedule your enrolment to a class at a later date, or transfer to another course, and have provided sufficient notice, no fees will be incurred. However, payment will be required for any difference in course cost.

In the case of multiple instances of rescheduling, we may withhold an administrative charge of not more than $50.00 from the amount of the credit value and you will be notified.

8.3  Insufficient notice to cancel or transfer your enrolment, or failure to attend your course

a.    If you request to cancel or reschedule your enrolment for any reason within seven (7) days (excluding public holidays) of your course commencement, or, if you fail to attend your course:

              i.    there will be no credit voucher or refund issued;

             ii.    you will forfeit all fees paid;

            iii.    it will not be possible to re-schedule your enrolment or transfer to another course.

b.    If you are unable to attend a course, you can elect to transfer the enrolment to another individual. Please note:

              i.    if you enrolled using a discount, it is not transferrable to the other individual and you will be required to pay any difference;

             ii.    that individual will not be able to withdraw from the course for any reason.

8.4  Standard Cancellation Policy Exceptions

Exceptions to the standard cancellation policy may be granted in CCE’s discretion, acting reasonably. Please contact us for assistance. Please also note:

a.    If an exception to the standard cancellation policy has been granted after the course commencement date, and the course consists of multiple sessions, a credit may be provided only for the value of the sessions outstanding, charged on a pro-rata basis.

8.5  Cancellation by us or changes to your course

a.    At any time after we have accepted your enrolment application or order for products or services, we may, acting reasonably, cancel your enrolment, your order or the relevant course, for any reason. If we cancel your enrolment or course:

              i.    on or before its scheduled commencement date and we have already received payment, we will promptly notify you and offer you your choice of a credit note or refund;

             ii.    after its scheduled commencement date because we are no longer able to conduct the course for reasons beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to a venue or facilitator becoming unavailable), we will promptly notify you and offer you a credit note for the value of the enrolment or course, unless we are required by law to give you a refund, in which case, to the extent permitted by law, we will provide a refund.

b.   To the extent permitted by law, each party’s liability to the other in relation to any course, product or service offered by us is limited to the amount you have paid us in respect of that course, product or service.

c.   If, as the result of a change, your course no longer meets your needs or you are unable to attend, please contact us to discuss a transfer to another course/class, a credit voucher, or a refund. Credit vouchers and transfers will be offered where your course has already commenced.

Despite the foregoing, we may make minor changes to courses, products or services including to the course content or the teaching personnel. We will  for which we will not generally issue a refund or credit voucher.

9.     Credit vouchers and codes

a.   A credit voucher is a non-refundable credit amount granted to you by us, for the purchase of enrolment, products or services.

b.   Credit vouchers and codes issued by us are valid only at the Centre for Continuing Education, University of Sydney (ABN 15 211 513 464).

c.   Credit vouchers and codes, in addition to unused balances, are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund; exchanged; resold; or used to purchase Gift Vouchers or Codes.

d.   A credit voucher has thirty-six (36) months’ validity and must be used within 36 months of issue*. No extensions are possible.

e.   Enrolments processed through the redemption of a credit voucher cannot be cancelled for another credit voucher unless your course was changed or cancelled by us. Exceptions may be granted at our discretion, acting reasonably.

f.    Redemption of Credit vouchers and codes requires acceptance of our Terms.

g.   We are not responsible for lost or stolen Credit vouchers or Codes or damage resulting from lost or stolen Credit vouchers or Codes or use without permission. Risk of loss and title for Credit vouchers and Codes pass to the purchaser upon electronic transmission.

h.   We reserve the right to suspend accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a Credit voucher or Code is fraudulently obtained or used.

i.    Credit vouchers or Codes, and unused portions of Credit vouchers and Codes, expire on the date specified on the voucher email. The voucher will expire at 11.59 pm (Sydney, Australia time).

* Credit vouchers issued before 14 December 2023 have a validity period of  fifteen (15) months. Note, for legal purposes, credit vouchers are not gift vouchers.

10.     Gift vouchers and codes

a.   Gift vouchers and codes issued by us are valid only at the Centre for Continuing Education, University of Sydney (ABN 15 211 513 464).

b.   Gift vouchers and codes, in addition to unused balances, are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund (except as required by law), exchanged, resold, or used to purchase Gifts Vouchers or Codes. Unused balances are not transferable. Gift Vouchers or Codes, and unused portions of Gift Vouchers and Codes, expire on the date specified on the voucher email.

c.   No refunds will be granted for the credit given for a course that was purchased with a Gift Voucher.

d.   Redemption of Gift vouchers and codes requires acceptance of our Terms.

e.   Data collection and use are subject to our Privacy statement (see clause 16).

f.    We are not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Vouchers or Codes or damage resulting from lost or stolen Gift Vouchers or Codes or use without permission. Risk of loss and title for Gift Vouchers and Codes pass to the purchaser upon electronic transmission.

g.   We reserve the right to suspend accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a Gift Voucher or Code is fraudulently obtained or used.

h.   If any Gift Voucher or Code is non-functional, we will remedy or replace such non-functional Gift Voucher or Code. Your statutory rights are not affected.

11.     Intellectual Property

a.   All Course content, teaching materials and all other material (Course Materials) provided to You is the sole intellectual property of the University, its licensors or such third parties as are indicated in the Course Materials and has been provided to You solely for the use with the Course.

b.   The content of the Course Materials and all rights, title and interest (including intellectual property rights) contained therein, vest in and remain the property of Us, our licensors and any nominated third party (as noted on the Course Materials) at all times.

c.   Our intellectual property is for Your use only, shall be non-transferrable, and is intended for a single-user only.

d.   We retain all rights to title to and interest in the intellectual property in the Course Materials.

e.   You shall not claim ownership, share, remove, copy, reproduce, disseminate or otherwise interfere with Our rights over the Course Materials, except to the extent permitted under the applicable intellectual property laws, including Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). 

12.     Our commitment to you

a.   We are dedicated to providing you with the best learning experience possible. Our facilitators and course content are reviewed and approved by faculty academics. The content is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure its relevance and currency.

b.   We formally investigate all complaints and gather evidence in the form of other participants’ feedback, the facilitator’s response and review of the course content. Please refer to our customer care policies and procedures for further information.

c.   While we endeavour to ensure our courses are accurately described on our website, we reserve the right to make changes at any time and for any reason to the date(s), delivery mode, or location(s) of our classes. We will provide notification of such changes as soon as possible.

13.     Your obligations

By applying to enrol in, enrolling in or purchasing a course with the Centre, you acknowledge and agree that you:

a.   will provide an appropriate email address to us to be used for communication between us and yourself, which you will check regularly for communications from us and you will notify us of any changes to your email address; 

b.   will provide truthful, accurate and complete information to us at all times;

c.   will not engage in bullying, harassment or discriminatory behaviour, including on social media;

d.   respect the right and freedom of others to express themselves and receive information and opinions, recognising the freedom of all members of the Our community to express their respective views;

e.   consent to your personal information being disclosed to check enrolment requirements if applicable;

f.    will behave with honesty, integrity and respect in all dealings with us and our staff and other participants;

g.   will maintain a satisfactory standard of academic integrity in the participation in, and completion of your course;

h.   as part of agreeing to the terms and conditions of this offer, You agree to comply with the following rules and policies of the University, as current at the time of your enrolment in a course, product or service:

          -         Acceptable Use of ICT Resources Policy 2025;

          -         Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Policy 2015;

          -         Student Sexual Misconduct Policy 2023;

          -         Academic Integrity Policy 2022;

          -         Academic Integrity Procedures 2022;

          -         Privacy Policy 2017; and

          -         Student Charter 2020,

i.    For the purposes of this agreement, references to 'student' in the above policies are taken to be a reference to You.

j.    Any complaint about our courses should be raised via email (info@cce.sydney.edu.au) and will be dealt with in accordance with Our Resolution of Complaints Policy 2015.

14.     General

This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
We may use any personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.

15.     Acceptable use policy

The actions individual users take can potentially have a big impact on our systems as a whole. That's why all users must follow this Acceptable Use Policy. If you violate this policy, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Site.

15.1      General

a.    Your access to and use of the Site, including your order of Services through the Site, is subject to these terms and conditions. You agree to bound by, and comply with, these terms and conditions by browsing the Site.

b.    The Site may contain links to external websites that are not operated by us or our related bodies. These links are provided for your convenience only and:

              i.    we make no representations or warranties, or have any responsibility or liability for those websites; and,

             ii.    these links do not indicate, expressly or implied, that we endorse the site or the products or services that are provided at those websites.

15.2      Registration

a.    If you register an account with us, you may not have more than one active account, and your account is non-transferable. You may update or edit your account at any time through the Site.

b.    If you choose to use a workplace email address for your account or workplace facilities to access the Site, then you are solely responsible for ensuring that you comply with the rules, policies or protocols that apply to the use of your email address and your workplace facilities.

15.3      Prohibited actions

You may not use the Site for any activities that breach any laws, infringe a third party's rights or are contrary to any relevant standards or codes, including, but not limited to breaches of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth);

a.    use the Site in a manner or way, or post to or transmit to or via the Site, any material which interferes with other users or our other customers or defames, harasses, threatens, menaces or offends any person or which prevents any other person from using or enjoying the Site;

b.    make fraudulent or speculative enquiries, purchases or requests through the Site;

c.    use another person's details without their permission or impersonate another person when using the Site;

d.    share your password;

e.    post or transmit any obscene, indecent, inflammatory or pornographic material or any other material that may give rise to civil or criminal proceedings;

f.     tamper with or hinder the operation of the Site;

g.    knowingly transmit any viruses, worms, defects, trojan horses or similar disabling or malicious code to the Site;

h.    use any robot, spider, site search and retrieval application or other mechanism to retrieve or index any portion of the Site;

i.     decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software on the Site, or in any way used or downloaded from the Site;

j.     modify, adapt or translate any portion of the Site;

k.    use any of the software on the Site, or downloaded from the Site, to create a competing product;

l.     remove any copyright, trade mark or other proprietary rights notices contained in or on the Site;

m.   reformat or frame any portion of the web pages that are part of the Site;

n.    create accounts by automated means or under false or fraudulent pretences;

o.    use the Site to violate the security of any computer or other network or engage in illegal conduct;

p.    take any action that imposes or that would, in our reasonable opinion, result in an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure;

q.    use the Site other than in accordance with these terms and conditions; or

r.     attempt any of the above acts or engage or permit another person to do any of the above acts.

15.4      Termination

We may immediately suspend, terminate or limit your access to and use of the Site and (where relevant) your account if you breach these terms and conditions and:

a.    the breach cannot be remedied; or

b.    you fail to remedy the breach within 10 days of our notice to you of that breach; or

c.    if there is an emergency or we need to perform some maintenance on the Site.

16.     Privacy statement

This collection notice applies to anyone who registers an expression of interest or enrols in non-award learning products offered through the Centre for Continuing Education.

16.1     Personal information we collect directly from you

a.    The University of Sydney uses a range of technologies to provide non award short learning offerings (short courses, executive education, continuing professional development) to students, staff, alumni, businesses, governments and members of the public.

b.    We collect personal information about you when you or your employer registers for a short course, including but not limited to:

          -        Your name

          -        Contact details

          -        Date of birth

          -        Gender

          -        How you heard about our courses

          -        Dietary, reasonable adjustment requirements and other medical information as required

          -        Alumni information (if applicable and you register for discounted rates)

          -        Payment details

c.    We may also collect other personal information from you depending on the specific learning course you register for. Depending on the course this may include:

          -        demographic information and parental consents for certain courses

          -        your course activity, progress and outcomes

          -        course surveys to assist improve our program delivery and services 

          -        information about your course participation and outcomes

          -        to issue you a Statement of Completion upon course completion

d.    Providing your personal information is voluntary, however if you do not provide all requested information, you may not be able to undertake and complete the short course offerings.

16.2     How we use your personal information

a.    If you register your interest in a short course or continuing education with the University, we will use your personal information to send you details of short courses that may be of interest to you.

b.    When you register as a student in a short course, we use your personal information in a range of the teaching technologies used by the University to enable you to access course content, participate in course activities, undertake assessments, engage with our academics and teachers and collaborate with others in your course.

c.    We will use your personal information to help support you during your study. We will also use your information for analytical and reporting purposes and/or to assist improve our short course program delivery and services offered by the Centre for Continuing Education.

d.    We will also use our Zendesk enquiry management environment to support any questions you might have about our short courses or issues you might have with your enrolment and platform access. University controlled chat bots may be used to help provide you with rapid responses to questions. 

e.    Our website cookies will also collect information about you and how you engage with our online environment.

16.3     Personal information we share with third parties

a.    The Centre for Continuing Education within The University of Sydney primarily uses the software product onCourse to manage its short courses, student enrolment and course payments. We will share your personal information with the onCourse vendor Ish, and its third-party service providers for the purpose of administering your access to and use of the short course offerings. More information about how Ish manages personal information is available via its privacy policy.

b.    We use a third-party communication channel Clickatell to SMS you with information about short courses. Where these communications are for marketing purposes, you can opt out these messages at any time. Where they are a necessary part of your short course participation, you will continue to receive them until your short course with us is complete.

c.    Where the University collaborates with a third-party organisation to offer and provide your short course, we will also share the minimum personal information necessary with our short course partner, to deliver the partnership course to you. Depending on the course offering, information shared can include your registration details, your course participation or demographic information for reporting purposes. If you have chosen to participate in a short course that the University runs with international partners, this means your personal information may be shared internationally. All University short course partners operate under contractual controls to require their protection of any personal information shared with them.

d.    We will not share your personal information with anyone else without your consent unless we are authorised or required to do so by law.

16.4     How we store and secure your information

a.    Your personal information is recorded in the University's Sydney student course registration systems and in the Centre for Continuing Education management environments.

b.    The University has security measures in place to safeguard personal information from misuse, and unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure, including those in the University’s Cyber Security Policy 2019 and Acceptable Use of ICT Resources Policy 2019. We retain your personal information in accordance with our Recordkeeping Policy 2017.

c.    We use reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. We will retain your personal information for as long as required to meet the purposes for which it was collected, stored and in accordance with the State Records Act 1998 (NSW).

16.5     Your rights in relation to your personal information

a.    You have the right to request access to and correct any personal information concerning you held by the University. For more information, please contact privacy.enquiries@sydney.edu.au.

b.    For more information about how we will handle your personal information, how you can request to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, and who to contact if you have a privacy enquiry or complaint, please see our privacy webpage. 

17.   Disclaimer

a.    The University strives to keep information stored on this server up to date but does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability or currency of the information. Any errors in the information that are brought to our attention will be corrected as soon as possible. The University reserves the right to change at any time without notice any information stored on this server. This includes information about courses or units of study offered by the University.

b.    The University of Sydney provides links to a number of external websites via this website. Monitoring and reviewing content of these third party external websites is not the responsibility of the University of Sydney nor does the University of Sydney endorse, approve or recommend the content, owners or operators of websites and applications available through this website.

c.    The University accepts no liability for any loss or damage a person suffers because that person has directly or indirectly relied on any information stored on this server.

a.   The University of Sydney owns the copyright in the information provided on this site unless stated otherwise.

18.1      Reporting copyright infringements and problems

The University of Sydney is committed to upholding the rights of copyright owners. If you believe that copyright material is available on the University of Sydney network in such a way that it constitutes a copyright infringement or a breach of a contract or licence, please notify our Designated Representative using the Copyright Takedown Notice.

18.2      Consent to use and disclosure of personal information to the Department of Education & Communities and other government agencies

a.   I understand and agree that personal information (information or an opinion about me), collected from me, my parent or guardian, such as my name, Unique Student Identifier, date of birth, contact details, training outcomes and performance, or sensitive personal information (including my ethnicity or health information) (together personal information) collected by The University of Sydney may be disclosed to the Department of Education and Communities (Department). The Department may disclose my personal information to other Australian government agencies, including those located in States and Territories outside New South Wales.

b.   The above government agencies may use my personal information for any purpose relating to the exercise of their government functions, including but not limited to the evaluation and assessment of my training, the determination of my eligibility to receive subsidised training or for any Fee Exemptions or Concessions. My personal information may also be disclosed to other third parties if required by law.

c.   I consent to the collection, use and disclosure of my personal information in the manner outlined above.
